How to use our Photo-Trans Plus Color Copier
Transfer Paper
What you need
- Photo-Trans Plus paper
- 100% cotton, 50/50 cotton/poly fabric, or 100% polyester (white or light colors only),
do not prewash fabric - Color laser copier (See recommended color laser copier models here)
- Heat press
Printing
- Reverse (flip or mirror) the image before printing.
- Load paper in copier accordingly so that blank side of paper receives the image. You may need to consult your copier manufacturer's directions.
- Fan the sheets of transfer paper on all four sides to reduce static cling.
Preparing to transfer
- Preheat the heat press to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Trim away any unprinted area around your image.
Transferring
- Place wrinkle-free garment onto the press pad of the heat press.
- Place transfer image side down.
- Heat press for 15 seconds with medium/heavy pressure.
- Remove from heat. Wait 5 seconds and peel transfer.
Washing
- Turn garment inside out before washing.
- Machine wash warm or cold.
- Mild, color-safe detergent (No Bleach).
- Remove the garment from washer immediately.
- Air dry is preferred, but you may tumble dry (use air only setting).
- If garment needs ironing, DO NOT iron directly on the transfer, use a teflon sheet or baking parchment to cover the transfer before ironing.
- After washing, colors may fade slightly, particularly on 100% cotton. To restore the colors to their original brightness, place a sheet of regular white paper over the image and iron at low cotton setting.
